It’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to make a candle in your house. Before we begin with the process, make sure you have covered your work area with newspapers.
In this process, you’re going to make a candle in a mason jar. Be sure that the thickness of the glass is god enough.
Clean your jars with water and soap and wipe them dry. Make sure that there is no water inside the jar. This is where you will pour the wax.
Take one pound of wax flakes for one mason jar.
Attach a stickum or base to the wick and run your fingers along the wick to smoothen it out. Once you try to our wax in the mason jar, it may start getting wrinkled. The base for the wick can be a thick paper or metal.
Drop the wick in the jar keeping the metal base well-attached to the bottom of the mason jar. Drop the wick in the jar and straighten the wick again.
Use the end of the spoon or a chopstick to press the base to the jar.
Attach the wick holders to the two small wooden rods with rubber bands on each end. It will help you wick stay straight up when you’re pouring molten wax into the mason jar.
Melt the wax with heat blower or on a stove. Add scented oil and color of your choice to the molten wax and mix it well.
Before the wax hardens, pour the wax into the mason jar and fill it until you wish to. Keep it in a dry place away from the sun. The wax will harden in around 30 minutes.
